Our expertise in water includes hydrology, hydrogeology and water engineering. Our project experience throughout Europe, Africa and the Middle East demonstrates the diversity of projects and studies in which we are involved, including:
- Strategic advisory services for flood warning investment for the Environment Agency
- Hydro-geological studies and investigation for Cooling the Tube and use of groundwater cooling for the Royal Festival Hall
- Statutory inspections of dams under the Reservoirs Act 1975
- Hydrological and hydraulic modelling of rivers and flood defences
- Design of pipelines, pumping stations, sewerage, and drainage systems
- Passive treatment of abandoned mine discharges
- Telemetry and SCADA system planning and design
Yazor Brook Flood Study
A flood study was undertaken by PB of a tributary of the River Wye, using ISIS to assess the existing standards of service provided by defences and to look at flood alleviation solutions.
This work was carried out for Hereford City Council, and was later incorporated into a study regarding development proposals.
